In 2023 my wife and I started looking for a rottweiler puppy. Our research concluded that DKV Rottweilers was the best choice for us. DKV’s owners, Angel and Liz were very professional throughout the purchasing process. They helped us every step of the way, right down to the delivery process. We live in Connecticut and did not want to drive to Georgia to pick Jax up, so Angle arranged to have his son fly up to CT to deliver Jax.
In January of 2024, my wife and I purchased a male pup from DKV Rottweilers, who we named Jax.
This dog is amazing, from the color of his coat to the muscularity of his entire body he is perfect in every way a rottweiler should be. Everyone who sees Jax comments on what handsome boy he is. Jax has a great disposition; he is not aggressive at all and gets along with people and our two other older dogs. We have several infant children at our family gatherings and Jax has proven to be very gentle with them. We love Jax, he has been a great addition to our family.
Throughout the course of 2024 we contacted Angel & Liv many times to ask advice or provide information about the breed. They always provided a very prompt reply. The majority of the times they got back to us within 24hrs or less, many times within the hour.
We’ve had Jax now for 15 months and we are very please that we made the decision to join the DKV family. It’s hard to write a review to explain the blessing that DKV Rottweilers brought to me and my family. My Dad purchased my sweet girl from Angel in October 2018, and I named her Tatanka. I loved her from the very beginning. As a puppy she was both gentle and strong. Anywhere I went she walked by my side. Her love extended to the family and friends in our life, her personality simply unforgettable. She has become my best friend over the years.
After losing my father in April 2019 Tatanka helped me through my grief as she guarded and protected me and gave a shoulder to cry on. Through the bad and good, she has been there through it all. My husband found DKV after researching for hours online. He had always wanted a full German Rottweiler instead of the “American” lines that you find here. We had just found out our Rotti had cancer, and he wanted to welcome another into our home so she could teach him the ropes. He had contacted Angel and spoke with him about the process of purchasing a DKV baby. Even though the wait was long we were ecstatic when we got the email stating our puppy had been born.
Being from Maine and amidst covid (2021) we were unable to meet our puppy before pickup day. Liz and Angel were there to answer any questions and to ease my anxiety over purchasing a puppy sight unseen (a lot of scammers out there now a days). We drove down to North Carolina where we met Liz and Angel. They are very down-to-earth people, and we felt like we knew them forever.
Balboa turned out to be an amazing companion. He is smart, has a great personality and good disposition. He was the perfect addition to our family! We were so pleased with Balboa, we ended up getting our 2nd DKV baby in 2022, one year later! We get compliments on how beautiful and friendly our dogs are! Our vets even said that they are exceptional and have excellent bloodlines and hoped that we kept these bloodlines going.

I will start my review by saying there is no better breeder than DKV and if you are looking elsewhere, don’t bother – you’ve found the best of the best.
From my first interactions with Angel and Liz I knew they wouldn’t just be my breeders, they would be my family. I reached out shortly after losing my almost 13 year old Rottweiler, King Bob to explore a potential new puppy a few months down the road. After my first call with Angel months down the road was no longer an option and I would be flying down to pick up Queenie Bea a few weeks later. Thanks to their knowledge and support and truthfully undeniable love for the breed and all their dogs I’ve never once questioned my decision to get a puppy sooner rather than later.
When I drove up to the park on January 21st and laid eyes off Queenie I instantly started crying. My heart felt whole again. I think one of the best things about Angel and Liz is when they say you have life long support, they mean it. I love sending my monthly pupdates and sharing all our sweet memories with them. They’re also so knowledgeable and my go to for every question. I’ve lost count of the amount of people who have commented on her flawless looks and amazing temperament. I remember when I decided that it was time to start looking around for my perfect Rottie. I knew going into it, that I wasn’t just looking for any Rottweiler. The first thing I knew was that I wanted a German Rottweiler and I also knew to do my research on where I would get my Rottie from because getting one from someone who actually put time, effort, and knowledge into the breed is so important. So I went on the internet and started looking around. This was when I ran into DKV’s website.
I was over the moon impressed with everything I saw. There was another breeder that was local to me, but I didn’t get the same feeling with them as I did DKV. When I filled out the questionnaire, I heard back pretty quickly. I got an interview with Angel and we had a great conversation. They made it very easy to make payments toward my puppy while waiting. They didn’t make you pay a certain amount, you put whatever amount you could towards it as often as you wanted too. They were very responsive with emails and stayed in touch through the whole waiting process.
When it came time to get my puppy, I was so excited! I decided to travel to Georgia myself to meet them and my puppy for the first time! Angel and Liz are just as amazing in person (if not more). The whole experience was nothing short of amazing. Fast forward my 9 month, almost 100 pound “puppy” is everything I could have asked for in a Rottweiler. His temperament and demeanour is amazing. He loves people and other animals. He’s exactly what I was looking for and will definitely be getting another DKV Rottweiler in the future. It is an honour to be apart of the amazing DKV family!

Our experience with DKV Rottweilers started 2 1/2 years ago. We had just returned from a vacation out west where my husband saw a family with a rottweiler puppy. It brought back memories of a rottweiler he owned when he was younger and so our rottweiler journey began.
After 27 years of marriage and becoming empty nesters, and never having a dog in our home, we embarked on a journey to find a rottweiler puppy. This led to months of searching for the right breeder.
We came across DKV and felt that they really were special compared to other breeders we reached out to. We completed their questionnaire. Angel contacted my husband and they had multiple lengthy conversations. Angel and Liz were always very responsive and answered all of our questions.
After much thought and consideration, we applied for a male and were put on the waitlist. Our expectation was that we would be waiting months, maybe even a year before getting a puppy. We were pleasantly surprised when we were contacted that a litter was available. Angel sent the photos of the male options along with very detailed descriptions of their temperaments. All of these multi ribboned puppies were absolutely precious!
After making our selection, we were kept informed of his progress, vet visits, growth etc. Angel was always very communicative and willing to answer any questions we had. We were so fortunate to meet Angel and Liz as they personally delivered our new little puppy to our home in Florida. Our puppy was absolutely perfect. They spent several hours with us at our home. We felt so confident that we had made the right choice.
Our boy has grown into a handsome, strong, smart, and loving rottweiler. He is absolutely the love of our lives. Wherever we take him people comment on how handsome and well behaved he is. The vet’s office has said that he is one of the most gentle and sweet rottweilers they have ever had in their office. He is an extremely intelligent dog and loves to be by our side at home.
Angel continues to be a source of support for us when we have had questions about nutrition, training, behavior etc. He always responds immediately and offers great advice. We know there are many DKV families out there and although our boy is now 2 1/2 years old, we still feel that DKV will be there when if and when we ever need.
We would highly recommend DKV if you are considering a rottweiler for a pet.

Getting a Rottweiler was a long-term plan for me. I didn’t just want a dog, I knew I wanted a Rottweiler. One reason for this is that I relate well with their personality, as other Rottweiler lovers will understand. Also, for this reason, personality is important. I chose DKV, because I was impressed with their dogs from what I saw online. After I submitted my inquiry, Angel called me, and we had a good conversation that made me feel comfortable in choosing DKV. Liz always responded to my many questions quickly and kindly.
Long story short, I decided to drive from NH with my brother to pick up a puppy, and he’s been with me for a couple months now. After wanting and planning for a Rottweiler for more than a year, I might have developed high expectations and hopes. My Rottweiler has exceeded those expectations.
Aesthetically, he has a beautiful coat and big paws and bone structure. His temperament and personality are impressive. From the time we arrived home, almost everyone that interacts with him has commented on his excellent temperament. He is very social with people, dogs and kids. He is curious–a good balance between cautious and confident, not timid and not imposing.
He is very intelligent; for example, learning the names of new items after a single introduction, quickly learning commands with little difficulty, and he has a large vocabulary for any dog, let alone a puppy of his age. He has a high drive, which makes it easy to direct his puppy energy to structured tasks. Although he absolutely loves playing with dogs, I have no difficulty securing his attention, focus and obedience on me during exciting situations. Every time I take him out, we receive numerous compliments and admirers for various reasons. This will tell you that I am not speaking out of bias towards my pup!
I am looking forward to his future, and if I were to look for another Rottweiler I would go to DKV first.

I thought I would take a few moments to share my experience with DKV Rottweilers.
I first came into contact with Angel and Liz Gutierrez in 2008 when I took to the Internet in search of my new Rottweiler puppy. As you know Rottweiler breeders are a dime a dozen. How does one know who stands out from the rest? I took my time, did my research and contacted several breeders to narrow down my search. You could say I was interviewing each to find the best match. What impressed me about DKV Rottweilers was Angel’s knowledge, attention and care for his dogs. In a sense Angel put me through an interview process asking me questions about my experience with Rottweilers, how I planned to care and support my puppy and the type of living environment the puppy would be living in. I quickly caught on that this was more than a “business to make money” and that the Gutierrez’s sincerely cared for the well-being of each puppy being sold. Our conversations lasted over the course of three weeks before Angel presented me with an offer to purchase a puppy. I would say this was one of several things that made DKV Rottweilers stand out from the rest. Not once did I ever feel pressured to make a purchase which sold me on the DKV brand. I admit, I was a bit anxious about purchasing a puppy so far away from me, but Angel and Liz made the process very easy.
I remember picking up my puppy Jaidyn and feeling love at first sight! She was an amazing dog, more than I could ever have expected. She provided my family so much joy over the twelve years she was with us. Unfortunately, in August 2020, we had to say goodbye to our beloved girl.
I told myself after the loss of Jaidyn, I could not get another dog. For some an animal is just that an animal. For my family, our dogs have always been part of our family. The pain of losing them is simply indescribable. We took time to grieve but all agreed our home was missing something,. The sounds of claws tapping the hardwood floor, that friendly face who excitedly greets you when arriving home or the bark to alert you of something going on outdoors. We agreed, we wanted another puppy. Rottweilers are “our breed” so that wasn’t even a discussion. In my mind, because of my experience with DKV Rottweilers the choice was clear. I would be purchasing new puppy from DKV. I didn’t think it was possible to be even more pleased with my experience, but I am. My puppy Jaayonah has been such a great addition to my family. Not to compare the two, but Jaidyn and Jaayonah could not be more different, and I could not be happier about that.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchases and experience with DKV Rottweilers. Their puppies are the cream of the crop. I have received so many compliments about both of my dogs from other dog lovers and people experienced with Rottweilers. As I mentioned before, Rottweiler breeders are a dime a dozen. Sure you could buy elsewhere, but with DKV you are not just buying a puppy. You are investing in the DKV brand, producers of superior quality Rottweiler puppies, a top-notch experience with breeder support for life.

I had wanted a rottweiler ever since I was a little kid. When I got my rottweiler, Azula, I was 24 years old, and it was a long time coming. I had been searching online for at least a couple years, considering I knew I was ready after having just moved into a new home. DKV Rottweilers Website immediately struck a cord with me. Their website was super attractive, their Rottweilers were gorgeous, and you immediately got the sense that the owners (Angel and Liz) are very passionate about the breed.
After filling out a questionnaire/application, they were very prompt in getting back to me. The whole process was very smooth, and Angel made a great impression. My wife and I both work the night shift, and Angel made it a priority to talk with us on the phone at times that were convenient for us, such as when he was cooking dinner. He and his wife Liz (who consistently updated me with emails) care deeply about the families their Rottweilers are going to.
Angel told me from the beginning that DKV is family for life, and now I truly believe it. Even a year after getting Azula, Angel has reached out to us asking about how Azula is. He and Liz gave us training tips several times when we ran into issues, and they never made it feel like it was an inconvenience to them.
My wife and I both agreed that when we first saw Azula, she was the most beautiful dog we had ever seen. We are stopped constantly in public by people complimenting how beautiful she is, along with her excellent temperament. DKV Rottweilers are very much professionals when it comes to breeding and raising Rottweilers. She has never had an issue with any dog she meets, and it is an understatement to say that she loves everyone she meets. We were able to give Azula great training due to the wonderful foundation DKV gave us.

We had recently lost our third Rotty to cancer only 4 short years with them. My husband wanted another one as we absolutely love the breed. I searched online and came across DKV. Zena lived a long and happy life and was the most confident and loving dog. Kitana Rose is our newest fur baby (1 year old). By definition, a breeder is a professional who mates dogs to produce puppies and matches those puppies to new owners, but this is just the beginning of what DKV does. I’ve sat down every day for the last month starting to write this review and every time, found myself too overwhelmed with gratitude and emotions to truly articulate just what Angel and Liz mean to me. I came to them broken hearted, lost, alone, and grappling with how to move forward, weeks after losing my whole heart, King Bob. From the very first email exchange with Liz I knew they were special and who my next best friend would come from. I originally thought I would wait a few months but after emailing Liz and spending almost 2 hours talking with Angel a few months was no longer an option, I would be welcoming home the most perfect orange puppy, who we named Queen “Queenie” Bea just a few weeks later.
Business wise nobody compares. Liz worked with us every step of the way, always going above and beyond even when it came to figuring out PayPal issues. We exchanged at least 50 emails and in everyone she was so kind and caring, ever so patient and constantly reminded me she was ours even when I was worried that technology was presenting unexpected issues. Even now, I still get so excited to see a DKV email popup from Liz. Angel goes the extra mile, calling to check in after every appointment, opening the communication and being able to answer every question and teaching me things. You can hear the love and commitment to the breed in his voice and his knowledge is unmatched. Their communication, litter pages, detailed emails, blog posts, and beautiful web pages is something I didn’t see in any other breeders, and should be recognized.
When it came to getting Queenie I was torn between having her flown to me or making the trek from Massachusetts to Georgia. I am so glad I decided to go to Georgia (Buc-ees was an extra bonus). Meeting Angel and Liz in person, hugging the two people who played a huge role in healing my broken heart, laughing with them, sharing stories, and witnessing first hand their love for every puppy and what they do is something I’ll forever cherish.
A new dog doesn’t replace the one you lost, but a DKV puppy will make you feel love again. Reminding you that even in your lowest moments there are reasons to smile. So many people said, when you know you’ll know and the time will be right. Joining the DKV family, establishing a lifelong bond with Angel and Liz, knowing I can go to them with any question or need and they’ll be there, bringing Queenie home, it was all meant to BEA, the time was right. Bea means, “she who brings happiness and joy” and that’s exactly what she is doing, thanks to Liz and Angel.

My husband and especially me are researchers when it comes to buying most of the things for our home, and it was no different when it came to searching for another addition to our family.
Once we decided that we wanted a German Rottweiler, I had mentioned it to my father. Needless to say, the retired detective went to work and spent quite a while looking for breeders in our area / state.
My father found DKV Rottweilers. As I looked through their website, I really got a sense of who they were and what great care they put into their puppies. I kept it in our favorites and kept searching, but no other place compared – This was just based on their website alone.
As my husband and I started to communicate with DKV via email and phone, they were very responsive, answered all of our questions, and kept us up to date throughout the waiting list process.
Once the puppies were born, we were able to see pictures and videos very often. What was advertised on the website was indeed a reality – these puppies were loved and cared for in a safe, clean environment. We wanted the pick of the litter. The puppy selection process was easy and in the end we found the right puppy for us.
The best part about DKV Puppies is how healthy and wonderful our Henry Diesel is. The vet told us he couldn’t be in better health or have a better temperament. Everyone in our office looks forward to his visits. I know this is because of the care and love Angel and Liz gave our boy before and after his birth. 6 years later Angel and Liz still check up on our boy.

We are new to the DKV family and I can already see what an awesome family to be part of!! We got our baby girl in July of this year and were able to drive to Georgia to meet Angel and Liz at their beautiful home. From the minute you pull up you can see the pride in the home and kennel. Earlier this year we had to put our beautiful, sweet baby girl down at the age of 5 due to a paralyzing cancer. We were heartbroken to lose our rotti. Having been a lover, owner, and breeder of Rottweilers since 1983, I write this testimonial with pleasure and appreciation. It all started when I returned from my time in the US Army, toting my first Rotty puppy. West Germany is where my love for this wonderful breed began while working daily with the German Kaserne guards who only used Rottweilers and German shepherds.
For years I raised the best “German Bred” old style rotties, importing females to breed for family and home security, law enforcement agencies, and working on the farm. After the sudden death of my last direct lined great-grandson of my initial rottweiler I stopped breeding. After about a decade I decided to get another Rottweiler puppy. I began looking at breeders here in the states, where I became so dishearten in the quality, conformation, and attitudes of the “New” Rottweilers, that I almost decided to forget my search and gave up.
I am the type of person that I must have what is correct and true to the foundation, beginning, and use of something. One day, I was just surfing Google for Rottweilers and came across DKV Rottweilers, WOW!!! From the photos of the dogs I was looking at on the pages of the website, I just about blown away. Only one more thing to do, call them and set up an appointment to view their kennels.
I am sure I drove Liz and Angel crazy with my phone calls. We finally made an appointment to come and visit so when the happy day arrived my husband, youngest son, and myself sped to Georgia. I was praying that DKV Rottweilers would be the answer to my prayers. When we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest hearted, passionate, rotty-loving people I had met in a very long time.
We couldn’t wait to fill out the questionnaire and follow up with their protocol of being a proud puppy owner of DKV Rottweilers. Very good friends of the family had gotten their puppy from DKV Rottweilers. As soon as my husband and I saw their puppy we knew we had to look into getting our first dog with DKV and we have never once regretted that decision.
In fact, there was a time when Balor was very sick and not holding down his food. We spent a lot of time and money on vet visits where they could not find the issue.
